Problem: i’d like to assign my
students WebQuests, but i don’t
have much time to prepare this
assignment and don’t know where
to begin.
Here’s a solution: A WebQuest
is an internet-based tool that
encourages students to explore
content in a scaffolded choose-your-own-adventure scenario. You can
create a WebQuest for any subject
and any grade level. it may seem like
a daunting task at first, but it doesn’t
have to be. You can get templates
that make the process no more
difficult than creating a PowerPoint.

can embed videos, Voki, or glogster
presentations too. Make WebQuests
interactive by adding quizzes, a photo
gallery, or a google Map.

Not all WebQuests are created equal,
however, so make sure to review
the materials prior to assigning to
students.

paid site that offers a free 30-day trial
period. educators are encouraged
to comment on each other’s work,
share links and images, and build
new WebQuests based on existing
ones. rather than starting from
scratch, users can bring a WebQuest
written by another member of the
community into their workspace,
modify the content or appearance to
suit their needs, and use it with their
own students. Attribution to the first
author is maintained, and authors are
notified when another member of the
community makes an improved or
modified version of their work.
