Webinar Features ISTE CEO

ISTE CEO Brian Lewis, along with ISTE Board President-Elect Kecia Ray and former board member Ryan Imbriale, were the featured panelists on a webinar recently put on by the Alliance for Excellent Education ( www.all4ed.org).

The webinar, titled “The Need for Systemic Technology Planning to Address Higher Standards,” was moderated by Alliance president and former West Virginia Governor Bob Wise. It highlighted ISTE’s leadership and resources to assist teachers, districts, and states.

Time Is Running Out for Super Early-Bird Discount

If you haven’t registered for ISTE 2013 in San Antonio yet, make sure you do by March 31 to take advantage of the lowest rate for the conference, June 23–26.

The super early-bird special is $40 off the fee that regular ISTE members would pay on April 1 and $70 less than they would pay after April 30.

The conference offers more than 800 sessions and events, including nationally known keynote speakers, workshops, student showcases, and interactive playgrounds as well as hundreds of lectures, panels, and posters.

ISTE Professional Development Services is offering six new online coaching courses.

Whether you are a teacher in a leadership position, a library/media specialist, or an ed tech evangelist, these courses are designed to show you how coaching can help others embrace technology and lead students in gaining digital age skills.

The titles of the six coaching courses are Coach as Leader; Coaching to Link Learning and Technology; Coaching with a Norm for Effective Learning; Coaching for Active, Engaging, Technology-Rich Learning; Coaching Skills for Lesson Improvement; and Sustained Professional Learning: Connecting to Your Coaching.
