Free ISTE iBook Will Enhance NASA’s Newly Released T-Book ISTE has published a free iBook for teachers designed to be used with a transmedia book (T-book) that NASA has released ahead of the 2014 satellite launch for the Mag- netospheric Multiscale (MMS) Mission. NASA’s book, iMAGINETIC Space: Where Imagination, Magnetism, and Space Collide, focuses on the foundational scientific principles of the magnetosphere that surrounds the earth. Its goal is to build excitement and interest
in the mission.
ISTE’s iBook for teachers is embedded with lesson supplements that support
experiments through the use of multimedia, self-paced professional development tools, NETS resources, and learning extensions. Find it for free on ISTE’s
Resources page ( iste.org/learn/resources) and the NASA MMS Mission
website ( mms.gsfc.nasa.gov). You can also meet the authors at ISTE 2013
at a poster session on June 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the SIG playgrounds.

In an effort to become more effective, nimble, and responsive, the ISTE
Board of Directors is no longer a constituency-based board. All positions
are now “at large.” Going forward, the board will include fewer members
and each will serve for three years instead of two.
