ISTE partners with several distributors, most recently Follett and EBSCO, to get these digital books out into the world. New books are typically converted and made for download 3–5 weeks following the arrival of the printed book.

Michigan Association Joins ISTE
Affiliate Network

ISTE welcomes the Regional Educational Media Center Association of Michigan (REMCAM) as its newest affiliate.

REMCAM ( www.remc.org) is made up of representatives from Michigan’s 28 regional educational media centers, which provide various programs and services to Michigan schools. Together, under the umbrella of the REMC Association of Michigan, they collaborate to develop and implement statewide programs and services for Michigan schools.

REMCAM recently signed a formal partnership agreement with the Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL) to work collaboratively in the areas of professional development, online learning, and digital resources.

“We’re excited to add this organization to our network as its structure and scope is somewhat unique compared to our other affiliates,” said ISTE Affiliate Program Director Susan Larson. “We look forward to what we can share with and learn from them!”

iBook Lesson Plans:
By Members, for Members

ISTE has compiled several member-submitted lesson plans for all grade levels from the Passion-Based Learning Contest into a down-loadable iBook.

The iBook contains short videos for each lesson as well as a full lesson plan that educators can use in their classrooms. Lessons cover history, literature, science, life skills, and more.
