than 3,000 books to the University of
Oregon’s American English Institute
(AEI) this year.
The AEI works with more than 125
countries to promote international teacher
training and development. Schools in
many of these countries are just starting
to integrate the internet into their classrooms and have a real need for teacher
support in technology integration, digital

that ISTE books frequently address.
Regional English Language Offices
(RELO) and other U.S. Embassy points
of contact will distribute the books to
English as a foreign language educators
in China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico,
Peru, and many other countries.
David Fay from the RELO in Lima,
Peru, said, “This is truly an impressive
collection of up-to-date books on our
hottest topic: IT in the classroom. One
complete set will be in our new Information Resource Center and the rest we
will distribute to preservice institutions
and other schools throughout Peru.
