Share Folders
If all Evernote did was facilitate note
taking and clip websites, that would
be enough for me. These next two
features, however, push it up and
over the top. Sharing folders allows
me to give students links to websites,
instructions on assignments, and
resources they need to complete a
given task. If you pay to upgrade to
a premium account, you can even
have multiple editors for one folder.
This would allow you to add com-
ments and suggestions for students as
they work on research papers—all in
Evernote, without the need for them
to email you anything or turn in any
paperwork.
Publish to the Web
Evernote also allows you to publish
your notebook to the web. The note-
book is beautifully displayed with
a built-in search function and all of
your images and audio embedded
right there. This would be a great way
to publish a digital lesson plan or or-
ganize files you use in class for later
reference. When parents have ques-
tions about homework, students miss
class, or administrators request to see
your lesson plans, you could easily
direct them to the notebook online,
which is always synced with your
Evernote notebook without any
effort on your part.
